Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born and raised in Malibu, California. She was a performer for friends and family as young children. At the age of eight the mother of her child took her to her first class in acting. In the film directed by John Huston Annie She played the role of a minor character in which she was described as being a "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger was also a part of a variety of commercials on television. Salenger's first starring role was on The Disney production The Journey of Natty Gann with John Cusack and Ray Wise The film was the first US movie to win the gold award in the Moscow Film Festival. In addition, she won "Best Female actress in a film" at the Youth in Film Awards in honor of her role in the charming Natty. She starred in four other films before turning age 18. One of the films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard to pursue further studies. Meredith Meredith Meredith
